NANNUP

BARRABUP POOL
40mins from Busselton. Mowen Rd, Nannup, Western Australia 6253, Australia. I’ve been to Nannup several times and never found this beautiful little spot. Take your bathers, the water was beautiful and clean. Even has toilets. Locals say they don’t know how deep it is ‘it’s bottomless’. They have even tried to measure it with string. Attached to Timberline walk trail.
BLACKWOOD RIVER TRAIL
40mins from Busselton. Starts at the end of Brockman Street. The walk trail starts behind Nannup caravan park. There are information bays showing a number of trails around Nannup. This one starts going over the old rail bridge and you can see the flood tree that shows the level the river has gotten to. The whole trail takes an hr but we didn’t go far this time. The trail has markers. There are toilets, bbqs etc at the foreshore (near where the trail starts) and totem poles

DONNELLY RIVER
1hour from Busselton. Crn Sears and Andrews Rd, Donnelly. You can stay in the cottages here or stop on your way to Manjimup. We headed to Nannup first then out to Donnelly. It was well worth it just for the wildlife. As soon as you arrive at the village you are greeted by the friendly kangaroos and emus. It’s also a beautiful drive. You can read about all the heritage whist your child has fun on the playground. There is also a general store and ruins of the old mill that is fenced off for safety. Not far from here is one tree bridge and Glenoran Pool. I believe if you are staying at Donnelly Village they have a dam you can swim in.
HOLBERRY HOUSE
14 Grange Rd $4 each (which was a great place for budding little photographers). Nearby is Kondil Wildflower Trail on Barrabup Road just out of Nannup. We just did the 30min walk. This is also right next door to Barrabup Pool.
