GREENBUSHES MINE
1hr from Bussetlon. 5 Telluride Street. Greenbushes is a historic mining town with lots of hidden gems. We will have to go back to to further explore. Open daily 8am-5pm. The open pit lithium mine has a look out. We all found this quite spectacular and if you are into Geocaching there is one here.
GREENBUSHES POOL
1hr from Busselton. Found on Greenbushes Loop / Spring Gully Road. Toilets and about 5 camp spots (free). Play equipment. Bbq. Sandy beach like area for kids to play (but may only be when water low). Walk trails with a boardwalk around the pool and a little jetty (short 500m). Dogs allowed on leash. Would be nice to cool off in summer. Lots of wildlife and information signs. Even a book exchange.
GLEN MERVYN DAM
1 hour from Busselton. Collie-preston Road, Mumballup. Water skiing, swimming and fishing. You can also camp on the western shore where the toilet and picnic benches are. There is a boat ramp. No camp fires. Dogs allowed on leash. 5km walk trail takes about an 1h 20mins.
